PETA Protest at Canada Place
Dairy is by far the cruelest food people consume on a regular basis. Cows are raped on rape racks and nine months later the babies are stolen from them and slaughtered in the veal industry all so that humans can drink the breast milk of a cow. Not only is dairy a cruel industry but there is absolutely no benefit in drinking milk, as a matter of fact it is completely unhealthy for humans. But companies are making huge amounts of money on making people unhealthy so of course the market and advertise what ever they want because in our society money can buy just about anything. Here are some links to learn truth about dairy http://www.peta.org/issues/animals-used-for-food/dairy-industry.aspx http://www.rense.com/general26/milk.htm http://www.squidoo.com/truth-about-milk-and-dairy http://eatdrinkbetter.com/2009/02/11/dairy-the-udder-truth/ Add new comment

Today PETA (People for the Etical Treatment of Animals) came to town with some awesome cow costumes to protest outside Canada Place where a Dairy Convention was being held. Five of us dressed up as cows and marched up and down the street chanting 'There's no excuse for animal abuse!' while I banged on a cow bell. We received a lot of attention and every one wanted a pic and took videos of us chanting and marching. It's a cold winter's day here in Vancouver but those costumes really keep in the heat but its well worth the effort if we changed someones perception on dairy.
